The Mountain Top University difference
All Postgraduate programmes of the Mountain Top University shall operate through a central organ called the POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL. The Postgraduate School, among other functions, has responsibility of coordinating, streamlining and ensuring compliance with all the approved postgraduate regulations of the various Colleges of the University.
About the Dean:
Prof. Gabriel Olukayode Ajayi is a Professor of Biochemistry, an astute and inspiring teacher, researcher and administrator per excellence with over 22 years experience in University education. He is a graduate of the prestigious Nigerian Universities, the University of Lagos and Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta with B.Sc. (Hons.), M.Sc. (Lagos) and PhD (FUNAAB) degrees in Biochemistry. His research focuses on phytomedicine, natural drug discovery, medical biochemistry, biochemical and environmental toxicology. He investigates health-promoting properties of medicinal plants and bioactivivity of phytochemical compounds in managing non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cancer, hypertension associated with hepato-renal problems, and also using medicinal plants as remedies for heavy metal poisoning. He was an Head of Department, Department of Medical Biochemistry at Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, Director, Open and Distance Learning Centre, Mountain Top University and the current Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Mountain Top University, Prayer City, Ogun State, Nigeria. He has authored and co-authored many well cited research articles in local and international peer reviewed journals. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, British Biochemical Society, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria among others. He is graciously married with beautiful children and a grand child.

- To consider and make recommendations to Senate regarding application received from Colleges/Faculties/Departments for approval to institution and conduct Postgraduate programmes.
- To advise on the interpretation of the regulations governing higher degree and postgraduate certificate and diploma courses in the University.
- To collates and harmonize all the available postgraduate programmes, all work out and publish time-table for the teaching and examining of the various courses offered.
- To undertake the publications of:
- The prospectus of Postgraduate Students at Mountain Top University
- Annual reports of the Postgraduate School.
- Titles and Abstracts of Thesis/Dissertations accepted for higher degrees in the University as part of the Annual Report for each year.
- Guides, Brochures and such other publications which may be considered useful for enhancing the functions of or giving due publicity to the activities of the School for the benefit of its prospective students.
